I am Denise Nuttall Dip CABT (Coape), MAPDT 00963. I am completing the final year of BSc Applied Animal Behaviour (previously run at Southampton it is now run at Sparsholt College in Winchester). I am a student member of the APBC. I have been working on veterinary referral for at least five years now and references can be provided on request. I work for a large number of vets in the Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding area. We run high quality, reasonably priced puppy classes and dog training classes with small class sizes.

Using skills as a behaviourist I help to iron out problems with puppies such as early signs of aggression and fearful behaviour towards other puppies as a matter of course in classes. I have three other assistants, one of which is an existing member of the APDT and studying dog behaviour through Compass, one a school teacher with excellent training skills, one with a foundation degree in dog behaviour and has written articles for the APDT and one a qualified vet nurse. This has been particularly useful at helping us to send clients back to their vets with early signs of problems (such as Demodex, fever, parasitic gut infection and joint problems) and there have been indeed a fair few occasions where this has happened.
