Martin Nuttall is a local artist who was originally trained as an illustrator. He specialised in architecture and botannical illustration and then worked as a technical illustrator in the aircraft industry. However, sadly in 2005 Martin had a bad car crash in which he sustained injuries which made it impossible for him to continue working in this industry. Following his recovery, in typical fairy tale style, Martin has been able to persue his passion for painting in a more free style. He is now establishing himself in a very competitive field. He works in oils and paints in a style similar to the old masters, layering colours on to achieve great depth and atmosphere. He is able to work from photographs to create a magical picture of your pet or family member in the context you wish. See some examples below.
