Notice Board

  • Next Kennel Club Test dates are at the Ferndown Village hall, Church Road, Ferndown, Dorset. BH22 9ST. Test evenings are to be held on Friday 23rd March in the evening and Tuesday 26th June in the evening. We have decided on this venue as it has easy access to the road for those participating in silver and gold awards and usable facilities for those with limited access.
  • We are delighted to announce that we had a 100% pass rate on our first Kennel Club Good Citizens test evening. We had 13 bronze passes and 4 silver. Considering that we had dogs from 3 different venues which had never met and many of the dogs had never been at this venue we were delighted to have such a good result. It was also a lovely compliment from the examiner that we were a very calm club. Although new dogs were meeting for the first time there was hardly a bark to be heard! Well done to everyone who braved the test!!!
  • Please be very careful walking your dogs by the rivers, especially young dogs/puppies. Poor Lily experienced nasty chemical burns to her paws last week after walking by the river at Cow Grove in Wimborne. This is apparently because of high levels of rain fall washing toxic chemicals into the rivers! And we are drinking this stuff!!!!!! Vet bill £75.00 for steroid injection and piriton!
  • Next radio appearance on Talk Radio Europe is 31/03/12 between 09.00-10.00 a.m UK time. The show is called "David The Dogman's Vets, Pets and Guests" and can be heard online for those interested. It reaches an audience of approx 1 million! Gulp!
  • RECRUITING! How often have you threatened to put your dog out to work?  We are always looking for well socialised, confident and relaxed dogs of all shapes and sizes to help to teach fearful dogs that dogs are safe and friendly. Training given to handlers and dogs and wages paid. Please contact Denise on 01202 861340 for further information. We take your dog's well being seriously. Our current stooge dogs have been working for us for three years and continue to have great relationships with other dogs and have experienced no adverse effects from this work. This is because we control the environment carefully. We are looking for more dogs because there is greater demand for our rehabilitation courses.
